My 10 Most Important Business Insights This Decade

by admin on August 27, 2009

As the decade draws to a close, I’ve been reflecting upon what I’ve done and learned in the last 10 years of my life. I thought it might be helpful to share my most important insights, year by year.  Just right click this link to download Glenn Livingston’s 10 Most Important Business Insights This Decade

Now, while I have your attention, I thought you might like to know I’ve invented a new marketing weapon…  the SINGING TESTIMONIAL.  Listen to Tom Mcllelan below please for an example.  Tom’s a personal coaching student and an excellent marketer and consultant in his own right (anyone thinking of working with him, please know I endorse this, you can reach him at www.GrowthClick.com).

How much more powerful is something like this as compared to a plain old transcript of what he said?  (Below is sung to the tune of “Oh Danny Boy”):

“Oh Dr. Glenn my ads my ads are selling

From low to high

You saved my landing page

The survey’s done

And now the leads are buying

‘Tis you ‘tis you

To thank and I obey

And you came back

To help me in my surveys

And used the data

And showed me how to sell

Now I’ve escaped my cubicle forever

Oh Dr. Glenn, Oh Dr. Glenn

I thank you so!

Happy Birthday Glenn. Its Tom McLellan in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

THANK YOU so much for everything you’ve done to help me along. If only my singing was on par with the results you’ve helped me achieve, then we wouldn’t have to subject the audience to that dying moose you just heard.

Thanks again.

Bye now.”

I’ll post an article in the next week or two as I learn more about how to leverage this new weapon.  (Of course, I’ll post more of the singing testimonials too!)

Enjoy, and be sure to download my 10 Most Important Business Insights This Decade

That little secret that you felt the need to repeat 20 times … would of saved me 100’s if not made me thousands … if I had “got it” a couple years ago too :)

Later,
Caleb

As a 25 year veteran in Celtic Music and Recording Artist, I think the approach is clever, but the voice needs some work!!!! Slainte!

Glenn, your business insights are pure gold. I wish I had had these years ago (though I\’m sure I wouldn\’t have been able to appreciate them at the time).

Your 10 insights are based around \"mistakes\" you\’ve made. But I salute you now for where you are today, and for being an inspiration to so many people (including me!). Don\’t neglect also looking back upon the things you did RIGHT the past 10 years.

I have to admit to feeling a spark of desire. The fact that you\’re able to make the time to create such insightful content like this shows that you\’ve achieved a high personal effectiveness… the pinnacle of Maslow\’s hierarchy… a place at which I am aiming and coming a bit closer with each day. If I\’m there on my 45th birthday, I\’ll be a happy camper. :)

All just a long-winded way of saying, keep it up Glenn — you\’re doing great… And I can\’t wait to see what insights your next 10 years bring!

Chuck

P.S. Yes, this is Chuck B. Thank you for your very thoughtful comment on the last post. I\’ll write you soon.

Happy Birthday Glenn,
I don’t know you (yet?) but I’ve been reading Perry Marshall’s Definitive guide to adwords and subscribe to a couple of yours and his newsletters. Your 10 insights and and general thoughtfulness makes me want to sign up. I can and really will use this. So now what?

Glenn-
Thanks for sharing your very personal 10 Insights. It’s one of the best pieces I have read this year. (And I am a very critical reader.)

I appreciate your sharing your insights.

May you have a happy, healthy 45th, and may you and Sharon enjoy each other in good health until 120.

Ted
