Hello,
My question is are there some products or services which are not best served by investing in PPC.
Dear Glenn,
If you could answer this question which I have dreamedt of asking for months it would relieve my anxiety about – perheps missing out on the right direction we should go in, in our marketing. I’ve
Our situation is we offer a service that nobody else offers and more important nobody knows exists, and nobody searches for. We are gem buying agents for Brazilian transparent gemstones. If you search for “gembuying agent” we com up first. Nobody does. It’s asking people to search for a phonograph before the public knew such a thing existed. We have made it from our site registants (calling the qualified ones) for over a decade. Before that we were gem merchants.
Our question is: Is PPc a worthwhile advertising medium for us to persue or would our effort be better spent elsewhere ie. Trade Magzines, SEO, direct mail etc. since we are basicly launching a new service to the trade.
We have tried to turn the corner as Perry says in his book. Done white papers. Gotten ok hit % but its been the wrong people. When we finally offered free consultantions, still the wrong people. Finally when we tighten the wording to exactly the people we want to help we got %100 conversion on zero hits.
Please what is your opinion? T
Thank you very much for this opportunity.
Glenn-
Just wanted to write a quick huge THANK YOU!
I’m entering month 2 of your Hyper Reponsive membership site, and am LOVING it.
And this is coming from a guy who returned your “How to Double Your Busines” product.
That product, while great in concept and theory, lacked the “how to”.
You must of done some research…
…because this baby is loaded with “how to”.
Complete with the tools you needs, and videos that offers step-by-step instruction.
Anyway, not sure where to post this little thank you letter, so I put it hear!
Adam
ps. keep u updated with my progress!!
David,
A seldom discussed part of PPC is demographics. I’ve seen several studies, including one from HubSpot, which state that 75-95% of searchers do not click on PPC ads. The HubSpot study also stated that about half of those who did click on PPC ads were those with a high school education or less.
While the statistical sampling is too small on which to base a solid decision, it can indicate that if educated people are your target market, then PPC may not be the way to go.
The other factor you mentioned – no competition – could also be a clue. If there isn’t competition, is the market worth persuing? I hope this modest insight helps you.
Thanks Luke,
We are not interested in persuing good markets for ppc. We are in business 30 years and over ten with the same successful modus operendi, Our PPC ads go to to the entire English, Spanish, Portugese and German speaking world. We are interest in the best advertising investments for our dollar ( or Real since we are located in Brazil).
Your observation about no competion is reveling though. May I take it that where there is no competion in PPC it may be becuase that product or service may not be right for PPC?
