As much as I grumble about having to learn Adwords again (oh for the days of 5c clicks!) I know that my competitors aren't so one day soon I will crush them and be the dominate one!

What ive found with quality score is that when I first begin a campaign I only use a few keywords anyway to try to get traffic for testing. The site usually isnt finalised and can be only a couple of pages. Thats when QS is usually about 3-4 but when I build out the site and start adding content with simillar 'keyword language' and backlincks relevent to the bullseye keywords, those QS start to rise to 4,5,7 and even 10 for one or two. There are other keywords which will remain low with silly high prices until I asume I build out the site more particular to those words also.

Hey Glenn, as always, spot on advice & observations. I've been telling people to suck it up and follow Google's rules for years now, but in most cases they still don't get it.

Oh well, their loss, our gain.

Looking forward to your future comments about quality score principles - lord knows, you can never learn too much about that subject when you're involved with AdWords!

And SEO - in its own way - is JUST as hard as AdWords. In fact, there are days when I think it's harder. If you've ever tried to find 100, 500 or 1000 white hat one-way links to boost your rankings (by keeping Google happy), then you'll NEVER complain about Quality Score again! :-)

All the best.

I'm a Google Good Guy and I think they're great. They're as good as their word. Obey their guidlines and tutorials and you get results.

AdWord tutorials are the best internet marketing education I've come across in 10 years. You just need to make the odd analogy.

Definitely what they say about PPC applies to SEO.
